Change the Way You Live

Life can be difficult. As people we experience lots of highs and lows. With the highs, we celebrate memorable events, achievements, and milestones. We consider our physical, intellectual, social achievements deemed worthy of celebration. But what do you when everything is going wrong? When your resources have run out? When you can’t think your way out of your circumstances? When you can’t ‘fix’ things physically? When you come to the end of yourself you are able to then meet the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe–God. He holds all things together and can help you overcome your circumstance if you choose to trust Him. But to trust you must let go of your old life and trade it in for a new life that God has planned for you. To find new life, you must change the way you live.
The Love of God
Gen. 1:1 proclaims that God is the Creator of all things, including You! Jesus, who is God in the flesh, says that He wants us to live a full and meaningful life right now. Jesus said…I came to give life—life in all its fullness. (John 10:10) (NCV) This means that Jesus’ purpose is that we all have joy in our lives, including yours!
The Problem
We are all sinners by nature and by choice.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 All means ME & YOU.
Because we are all sinners, we deserve DEATH and HELL .
“When people sin, they earn what sin pays—death. But God gives us a free gift—life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NCV)
It is true that God is holy and just and must punish sin, but because He loves You and Me He has provided a way of Forgiveness for our sin!!
That Way is Jesus (Moving Jesus!!)
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
You Must Believe…
Believe What?
Jesus is God and became man.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:1,14)
Jesus died for YOU and ME on the cross.
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)
Repentance
What does Repent mean?
“A Change of Mind”. It is not just feeling sorry for our sin. It is turning to God through Jesus and away from your old life. It’s like making a U-turn.
“Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins.” Acts 3:19
Surrender
You must surrender to Jesus as Lord. Surrendering to Jesus means giving JESUS control.
“For, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
